Hi , Y'all folks.......,
I left Brussels for a two-ours-drive to Germany, Bonn, to see once again Robben play dd.Nov. 3the.
We managed to get in front of the stage a few minutes before Robben began playing and shaked the hand with Bob MALACH. Bob told me he was playing in BRUSSELS in the summertime this year at the EXPO.
(really bad I didn't see him in my own town !!!).
Robben came on stage but DAVED was buzzy getting the TELE strait so Robben was shocked to see Daved on stage working with the TELE.
They made a few loughs and got started. This was the playlist :
- 1.keep on running
- 2.indianola
- 3.over my head
- 4.homework
- 5.cannonball shuffle
- 6.nothing to nobody
- 7.up the line
- 8.moonchild blues
- 9.help the poor
- 10.it don't make sense
- 11.badge
- 12. lovin' cup
THe sound was overwelming and Robben was like a train.
But Robben looked tired like his drummerboy TOSS.
TOSS was sweating hard the first two songs and knocked like a carpenter on a piece of wood ! THen Robben took a walk trough the numbers he played and did a JAZZY-inprovizing thing througout ich number.
It was a great show but to hot in a to small room with a stupid stage !!!
Robben's Solo's where overwelming and unlimited on stage.
It was a pitty that the crowd inside the JAZZ GALERIE was to young.
I didn't think that they knew Robben as well as I do !!!
After the show I got in touch with Robben and spoke with him. He knew us (me and my wife) and told us that he was glad to see us again.
We wiched hem the very best and made a new apointment at VERVIER on nov.15the. Robben agreed that we could take pictures after the show.
When they are ready I will give them to see on the board !
