Would anyone that may know, be so kind as to share Robbens settings on his TC2290. I have worked for years trying to get mine set like his. I am a player and obviously "techniqley challenged" ha ha |

Here is another strange question -does this need to be ran through 2 amps--stereo-cause the last time I saw Robben in Austin, Texas-I could swear he was only using 1. Anyone? |

The 2290 works just fine with one amp. Robben sometimes uses two for a "bigger sound." He seems to do this less ofthen than he used to, however. |

Thank You Jack!!!!! I'm getting close. Also notice the depth on the modulation setting? And Dave mentions something about 11/2 repeats.
I REALLY appreciate your help here. Have had this thing for 10 years-was almost gonna sell it. ha ha Finally starting to get a good sound. Any help I can get is most appreciated. Just wondering if Dave ever posted any settings??? You think Robben uses same setting for clean and overdrive.

On the modulation depth, I'm not sure what Robben uses (it's not visible from the photos I got from Dave Henderson). In the setting that I use (using preset #97 as a starting point), I believe the depth is set at 8. I've played around a little with it by going between 6-10. It's just up to you (but it's subtle).
As far as number of repetes, the 2290 does not provide the capability to specifically pick the number of repeats (as some newer model delays). This is specified in the feedback setting. I think the feedback setting is 15. This seems to sound like around 1 to 1 1/2 repeats.
The other big thing you've got to play with is the delay output. This is also affected by whether you use a series or parallel loop. I think I now back it down to 95.
Finally, I don't think Robben uses a different setting for clean versus gain (but I'm just guessing). the place where this comes into play is also in the delay output. On the gain channel, the effect is stronger. Personally, I like to find a place that strikes a balance between the clean and dirty and just use one setting (again, at 95).
Hope this all helps. |

Thanks Bob. Now I just need to record some clips so Scott Lerner won't kill me! |
