I heard Walter "Wolfman" Washington & the Roadmasters last night. Don't know if these guys make it out of New Orleans very often, but if they come to a location near you, be sure to check them out! Or if you're in N'Orleans, make it a point to find out where they're playing.

It was a howlin' good time. Jazz/R&B/Funk/Blues - they've got it all going on. He was playing an Epiphone guitar, alsolutely beautiful guitar and great tone.

And a fashion report for Liz, fabulous silk suit and ... my friend said to me "did you see his shoes?" YES, I was right in front of them!

Ah, da Wolfman! Glad you got to check him out. He can go from gutbucket to surreal. Growing up in NO, i was lucky to see him many, many times. Even back when he was backing Johnny Adams. Lots of late nights at Benny's and The Maple Leaf. He played ACL 2 or 3 years ago and it was a sorching hot day but he was even more blistering. Probably the best i've ever heard him play. Last time time i caught him was this past Thanksgiving night at The Banks Street Bar.
Was 'Junkyard Dog' drumming for him? Still chaining his drummset? And yes, Walter is quite the dresser.
