I just picked up a used Fender 52 Tele. Its in mint condition, the guy bought it, then brought it back in a weeks time. Got a great deal on it, plus he changed the bridge PU with a SD, which is a plus. I have been playing for over 25 years now, and although I have always like teles, I was never really a TELE PLAYER so to speak. Always have been a strat man myself. But something about this Tele just felt and sounded right to me. I could not put it down, so I tried to resist it, but had to take her home. Whoop de do, I know you guys could give a shit, but just thought I would share. Peace...

Equipment:

Martin acoustic
Suhr Pro - Olympic White

Suhr Pro - Mercedes Blue

Fender 52 Tele - Butterscotch blond

Suhr Badger head

Custom Audio Electronics 2-12 cab

xotic RC

Boss DD6 Delay

Arion SCH-Z Chorus

Boss TU-2 tuner

Vox Wah

Boss FV-50 volume pedal

MXR Flanger

All on an SKB Pro Pedalboard....

Nothing like a good Tele, as Robben and MANY other players have demonstrated over and over.

Even though I have three Strats and always considered myself a Strat guy, too, I find myself grabbing my Tele more and more. A friend who owns a music store gave me an interesting exercise to try. He said that if I really wanted to see how versatile a Tele is, that I should try playing an entire set on just the bridge p'up, using the tone pot for variations. It really is amazing how many different tone colors you can get.
