What this forum needs is a damn good quiz ... and so instead I thought I'd try this - here's the first line of a song. what you guys have to do is continue it, one line at a time, per post. This is very, very easy, but can you remember ALL the verses?.

Let's see how far through it we get (and NO Googling. Well .... OK then, it's permitted, 'cos I did. Turns out that this song was No1 for 5 weeks on 1961 and received a Grammy nomination in 1962. The singer, who has the same name as a famous actor, turns 80 next year. He is also a well-known sausage maker.)

Here we go:

Every mornin' at the mine you could see him arrive

Jimmy Dean's "Big John?"

I didn't google...what other singer/songwriter/sausage-maker ever sang about a coal miner?

Am I right?

Do I get a prize? Laughing

Well done Andy. 5 tons of sausage meat are winging their way to you as we speak!

I am not sure if this is the next line but here goes:
He was broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip and everybody knew you don't give no lip to Big John.
God I dont believe I'm playing this game! Bored at work I guess.

Why do you think I started this in the first place? Wink Isn't it strange how a boring day at work brings out the sillier side of one's character ...
