Hi guys, would you like to correct and complete this fantastic song?
Wink
I'm Italian and not too much able with english and to distinguish chords by ear too.
So please, who does want to help me?
Good Robben Blues to all!!!
Tony

Let's go:
Riley B. King
He's a king without a castle or crown
And every night he lays his body down
In a different town
But one thing stays the same
Everybody knows his name

People may laugh or cry
As his stories are told
To tell the truth like this
A man must be bold
And the people are glad
For the things he shares
Everybody knows he cares

Chorus:
By the light of the moon
Over the ocean
Riley B. King
is the king of the emotions
He's royal blue
Like the deep blue sea
Riley B. King

Out of the darkness
And into the light
To fight the peaceful
Warriors fight
Such a beautiful sight
And the way you feel
Watchin' him with Lucille

The heart of a man
Is open wide
And he closes his eyes
And he looks inside
To a love of the world
………………………………. ?
………………………………. ?
Chorus:
By the light of the moon
Over the ocean
Riley B. King
is the king of emotions
He's royal blue
Just Like the deep blue sea
Riley B. King

1 solo

Bridge after solo … complete with words

He's a king without a castle or crown
And every night he lays his body down
In a different town
But one thing stays the same
Everybody knows his name

Chorus:
By the light of the moon
Over the ocean
Riley B. King
is the king of emotions
He's royal blue
Like the deep blue sea
Riley B. King

Final solo
Is it right?

Very Happy Hi Blueloster, thanks for your reply from the old dear Europe;
I was looking for an angel that completes this song with chords, because i tried to do it but for me it's impossible to find the right chords that give that particular feeling to this piece.
Could you help me?

Hi,

once again there is a workshop and full transcription of the song in a german music magazin. I'll check the store later today to catch a copy. As soon as I have it I'll let you know. Very Happy
Greetings
Michael

The missing lines are:

To a love of the world

and a song he might sing
a little something from B. B. King

Thank You Tom, perfect! Very Happy
Could you complete the song where Robben begins to sing just after the first solo, before he repeats again
"He's a king without a castle or crown
And every night he lays his body down..."
I'm sure you can do it! Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Thierry, welcome to this research....
Only Michael has the key ... and we could only wait for his new post.
However i'm trying to find the chords of the song and I think that chords are these:

AB| EB| AB |EB
Bb/D |Cm7 | G/B | Cm7 | Ab9 |Eb/Bb | g7 | Bb11+/9- | Cm7|
Ab9 | Fsus4

Please let me know something about these chords of the first verse from
" he's a king.." to " .....everybody knows his name".

Then i'll post the refrain...
Long live to the blues ( but to the good one - Robben docet!)

EB
AB | EB | AB| EB|
He's a king without a castle or crown
Bb/D Cm7 G9/B Cm7
And every night he lays his body down
Ab9 Eb/Bb
In a different town
G7 Bb11+/9- Cm7 ( eight fret)
But one thing stays the same
Ab9 Fsus4
Everybody knows his name

I think that this version is more like the original!

What do you think about it?
