Hi Everyone
I have been noticing some queries about the above event and as I have been involved with setting this up with Dal I can clear up most things for you. It is taking place at The academy of sound music store in manchester. Doors open at 7.00pm to start at 7.30. It will last around 90 minutes.Ticket only. The masterclass and clinics in the United States are generally full day so there is time for instruments and technicalities. However, because of the time limit on the 19th its worthy to note not to take your guitar. There is not enough time.
Robben will play and talk, answer questions and give us a rare insight into himself and his approach to his work and art form. Don't forget its not often we see him in this kind of setting. I am sorry to inform you that video or audio equipment is not permitted and no pictures during it.( there are known issues here so no surprise with that) However fingers crossed there will be time for a photo or two afterwards.
I will be delighted to answer any queries or get things clarified.........

I went to a clinic like this about 6 years ago in Minneapolis. It was the 90 minute kind at the beginning of the Tiger Walk tour. At this clinic he played through a Red Knob Twin along with two or three tracks from Tiger Walk with the lead part taken out. He then sat, talked, and answered questions. After that he signed autographs had photos taken with people and chatted some more. I had him sign my Fender RF Signature guitar (notice my avatar on the left).
I also attended one at the beginning of the Blue Moon tour. Same kind of thing except this was just Robben and his tele. No backup tracks and it was more talking than anything else. Again, pictures and signing happened after the 'clinic'.
These clinics are good but the all day clinic can't be beat. You should never pass up attending one if you have the opportunity
So you might want to take a camera and your guitar if you want him to sign it.
