I have been listening to Matt Schofield Trio - "Ear to the ground" new CD release all week, and I love it. There are some "fordisms" going on, especially the solo on the title track. All in all, an excellent CD if you like modern blues guitar. Check it out, you won't be disappointed! However, the mp3 clips on his site don't do the CD justice, as the really good "bits" are only on CD
With Robben's "truth" just around the corner (anyone know when it is actually released in June?), the imminent CD release by Neil Larson, and Matt Schofiled's CD, this is just what I've been waiting for to inject some new release interest.
