I've seen Robben (in videos) make volume adjustments and swells without futzing with the controls on the guitar, so I assume he's using a volume pedal. I've searched the forum as best I could and could find no reference to the particular pedal he uses. Since he has such a discerning ear for tone, I would assume he would pick something that does the job well while preserving or enhancing his sound - anyone know what he uses?

someone who knows will answer this some time but I am just drunk enough to say something on the board.
I think it's an Ernie Ball....
Robben Ford's use of Volume has inspired me from many live viewings over the last many years. Since I play in a living room band (garage band) we are very conscious of volume. The dudes that I am lucky enough to play with are very ear conscious so I need to adjust a lot during a set, I play sound man while I'm playing. Ear training was one of my best classes at GIT in 1988 and that was the same year that I first saw and turned into a disciple of R.F.'s who is the master of volume dynamics. I have been fortunate enough to see Michael Landau over the years and Steve Morse & Joe B. they are very close in the influence of volume.
I use 3 volumes.... On board with the pinkie, the Volume on my GT6 --- master ( 0--10 ) then I have a Morley for 7 to 10 rhythm to lead volume adjustment capabilities on the fly, a separate peddle for that reason when I need to quickly punch up my lead since I work with another guitar player.
I'm just enjoying a Saturday listening to the best radio station in the world KUNV ......... UNLV's jazz station which has a show every Saturday evening "nothing but the blues" and getting very inspired playing along with Jeff healey 'Rip'... and many other greats ...
Thanks for the opportunity to ramble you guys would probably relate to what I am saying more then most in my life so there it is
