Robben Ford Discussion

The newest Carl Verheyen CD, Trading 8s, features Robben on one cut.......New Year's Day.......and, it may be the best blues song recorded in 2009! And, possibly, the best solos I've heard from Robben this year.........one great song and two fantastic guitarists who push each other to very high levels of musicianship. If you haven't heard it, I recommend it highly.

RF sounds really good on Trading 8's! (of course!). Carl said Robben came in, played the tune twice, and it was done. Nailed it perfectly!

Also, be sure to check out Rick Vito's Slide playing, and the incredible playing/phrasing of Scott Henderson.
