First of all, it was ordered on Tuesday from http://store.guitarfetish.com/gastrepreoro.html
and it arrived in Scotland on Saturday, well boxed. No problems at all.
Here is the product link from the manufaturer's site:

So, what do I think? I think it's great! You know that feeling - a product is meant to be great, everyone says it is, should get thet Ford/Carlton/Eric Johnson sound, etc, etc. We even had one poster to this discussion group stating it was better than a zendrive. Well, I have no idea about that, having never even seen a picture of one, never mind played one. So, no comparisons here.
Positives: it is certainly a boutique pedal. I bought it for my Telecaster, having read that the zendrive is not so great for single coils (again, I can't say if that is true), but unfortunately, my tele is at the tech's bench getting new pickups installed (http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/). So it has been tried out with my Yamaha SA2200, the high-quality 335 clone.
I've only tried a few overdrive units, and hated them all. I like an overdriven tube sound, which still sounds like a guitar. This is the first pedal I have tried that I will keep. It really is a high-end, amazing piece of kit. It easily lives up to all the claims for it - checkout the rave reviews at Harmony Central.
So far, I've only been able to play it through a small, 10-watt Marshall, clean channel. I really want to play loud through my Fender Blues Junior, all-tube amp, with my Tele. But, given the set-up I have, I am 100 per cent happy with it.
Negatives: hmm...can't think of any right now...
So, it's an alternative for the hard-to-get zendrives, I guess. I can't imagine anyone not being happy with this pedal, unless, of course, they are looking for something crunchier. This pedal goes from tube warmth to medium distortion, no further. No matter what setting you dial in, this thing remains clear in all the voices. 10 out of 10.
