Talk about strange things in strange places! Here in New Zealand we have a small version of Ebay called ' Trade-me ' and I happen to notice one of Robbens distinctive jackets up for sale on a charity auction. As there were no bids most likely because Robben is not widely known down here I decided to place a bid to save it and was lucky enough to win.
Check it out as you will recognise it:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=126299060
It has a letter of authenticity from Robben himself.
Now I don't particularly want this jacket and have been deciding what to do with it. I may try Ebay to a bigger audience or maybe some music memorabilia collectors? Whatever, I plan to donate all profits to the original charity it was donated to.
What are your thoughts guys?

I'd be interested in buying it--particularly if the proceeds are going to charity. Let me know how much you want for it. It would have to be shipped back to the states (Michigan).

You can email me directly at:

Thanks

I want his yellow suit, the one he wore when I first saw him during his Keep On Running tour. Mojo must be included... Laughing

There is considerable interest in this jacket and I would like to see it returned to the USA. I am in talks with the Hard Rock Cafe chain at present but if that comes to nothing I will be sure to contact you. I need to be sure the Hard Rock won't lose it in some storage warehouse forever.
I am happy to pass this jacket on free of charge to the right person or organisation at the end of the day as long as the recipient picks up the shipping charges etc.
Just want to see it go to a good home where it can be appreciated by many.
It certainly has been a conversation piece around here! we veiwed the Robben Ford and the Blue line DVD last night at the "ohne filter" and Robben is wearing the very jacket.
I think I mentioned there is also included a nice letter of authenticity from Robben himself that will stay with the jacket.
Just listening to the Ford/ Carlton live in Tokyo this morning. Just fantastic!
Kind Regards, Ford427.

You might consider contacting Robben's brother, Patrick at bluerockit.com to see if he knows of any good places for the display.
