I can't wait to see him. Great venue as well. Nice parking lot and plenty of room to tie up your goats and sheep.

my New Year's resolution is 'no smut or vulgarity' so I am sadly unable to embellish this thread......

It'll never last..........

Oh what a disgusting visual THAT brings to mind.
I certainly hope you meant "sipping".

Actually, Blobby is right, you can seep wine if you drink enough - I drank enough this Xmas to float a small aircraft carrier and therefore I should know.......

Also been getting further acqauinted with Robben and Joe Bonamassa - a combination of pleasure and intense frustration from knowing that however hard I practice, I will never be able to get near either of them in terms of technique and sheer feel.

Where is Des Moines? I included a reference to this in one of my spoof songs, so I'd better check out my geography.....

>> Where is Des Moines?

It's in the middle part of the country where, as the saying goes, "men are men and the sheep are scared"... Laughing

Hey..Easy on the Des Moines jokes. That's my home town. Frank Zappa said "everyone needs to go to Des Moines once, just to see that it really exists". Happy New Year all you sycophants... Very Happy

It's on my list of places to see when I finally tour the states - I've heard it mentioned so many times that I need to see it for myself. Same goes for Austin, Bakersfield, Noo Orleens, Boulder and a bunch of others - oh and then there's all the Maine towns that Stephen King references or which are spoofed - the list is endless but hopefully a decent bar in each and every one one!

Well, Millibobs ( BTW... does that translate to "thousands of Bobs" Laughing ?),

I guess I could almost be your own personal tour guide then as, besides having been to most of those places numerous times over the years, I actually live in Bakersfield and once lived in an Iowa tri-cities area (Waterloo/Hudson/Cedar Falls) for a couple of years (just down the road a healthy piece from Des Moines) when I was an electrician working at the John Deere tractor factory in the mid 70's.

Some pretty spectacular living going on there (and here) I must say... yawn! LOL! Wink

Hey Daved, did I see you for a split second on the new Clapton Crossroads DVD?

I love going back to Des Moines and then about 72 hours later I'm ready to leave again.
