Well, Robben put on a fantastic, inspired show this past Saturday night, for a packed house at the Ram's Head Tavern in Annapolis, Md.

Before the show started, I was able to pop up to the stage and introduce myself to Daved...it was a pleasure to meet you, Daved!!! Very Happy

I took my younger sister to the show, and she is now hooked.

(I'm sure my siblings have been thinking that I'm nuts the last few years, "Robben Ford...blah blah blah...Robben Ford...blah blah blah...')

So sis was totally blown away by Robben, Toss and Travis. She told me. "NOW i get it!" Shocked

Robben and the band were as hot as I have ever heard them (but I say that every time...this time i MEAN it!!!) Cool

Robben did some great stuff with the wah-wah and volume pedal, which was a treat, and he played 2-3 songs which I hadn't heard before.

I think Robben played for almost 2 hours, and was really into it.

After the show, Robben was signing autographs from the ticket booth, and my sister stuck her head in to express her appreciation.

I think she even invited Robben and the gang out for a ride on her boat! (alas, apparently Robben already had Sunday plans.)

But I think the invitation is open for when ever the band returns to the D.C./Baltimore/Annapolis area. Smile

So it was a great night: I got to meet Daved, the band was super hot, I drank lots of good beer, and we have a new Robben Ford fanatic.

Very Happy

Andy

Great to hear you and your sis had a great time Andy. I think Robben's playing of late has that extra little something too (if that is at all possible!!).

You have just got to get your sis onto things like tone & feel and she will be fully converted Very Happy

Cheers,

DD

I really wonder how Robben is able to do it, show after show after show...

Does he ever get tired, get bored, get burned out, get homesick?

Every single time I have seen him (6-7 times) he has been absolutely great! Shocked

Even beyond his monstrous talents, he seems almost super-human in his ability to always sound fresh and always come across as being gracious and humble and giving to his audiences.

I can only shake my head in amazement.

Smile
