Robben Ford Discussion

I was watching the bonus interviews on the DVD of the Blues Brothers Movie last night and was pleasantly suprised by a story Steve Cropper told. He was talking about how he was in studio sessions when John Belushi called him to ask him to be in the Blues Brothers. He then goes on to say, quote:

Well, anyway, I told him, I says, "Man, I'll have to get back to ya. I just, ya know...".

So, in talking to Robben Ford a little bit later, he said, "Well, who was that?", ya know.

And I said, "Well believe it or not", I said, "it was John Belushi." and he said, "Oh, well what's going on with that?"

And I said, "Well, he wants me to come to New York and start rehearsals for some shows".

Then he says, "Well, you gonna do it?" and I say "Well, I don't know if I can." And he says, "Well I'LL do it!" (Steve laughs)

So, when my artist said he'd do it, I said "Well, we'll try to work something out". (laughing)
