Wife and I drove up to Santa Rosa from Daly City. 52 miles and 2 plus hrs. later.....we arrived. Weather and traffic were brutal.
We ate at the L.D.S. so we could get a "reserved"seat. L.D.S. was a good venue. One of those places that if you want a killer seat you better eat dinner at their joint. Food was O.K. not anything to get excited about. Sign said cap. was like 350. No seasonals on tap....booooo. Nice sound system good layout. Lots of good sight lines. Reminded me a little of Yoshi's, lots of good spots, but not as sharp.
Show logged in at 2 hrs. plus.
Robben could have called in sick, his voice was wrecked. He, however soldiered on. He more than made up for the vocals with some killer fretwork. Stand out tunes...Riely B King, Spoonful, Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cry'n, Moon Child Blues, Please Set A Date. Volker was on as well. Andy Just kinda had to step up and front the show due to Robben's illness. Extended solos and extra instrumentals as well, to give Robben's voice a little slack.
As usual we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt it was well worth the ordeal getting up there. Wish we could have gotten tixs for Chico. We tried many different avenues but no luck.

Man this was the best Ive seen Robben interact with other musicians, probably not his best performance because of his 3 week cold and him being "slightly larynjetic".Volker was smokin the Two Rock amps are tone machines,Robben was playing through one as well. The hole band was enjoying the moment really tight, feeding of each others energy.I have never seen Robben trading 4s with another guitar player and harp player before.which for me was an inspiring moment.Unbeleivable.Anybody that plays with Robben, even if hes a little under the weather, has to step it up or for better words bring yo A+ game brotherman! Andy did Just that with his blistering solos and emotive vocals, especially on "self preservation".Robben,Pat,Andy,Volker and Dewayne, you guys are bad ass! Wish you guys played more gigs together. Thanks to Mike at Dig Music and the Ukiah Brewery it was a great show.

Just got home from the Sierra Nevada show. As mentioned, Robben was a bit weak vocally and admitted so right up front stating that he hoped his fretwork would make up for his vocal shortcomings!

Great show...lots of interplay, trading 4's, etc. Smiles all around. A friend mentioned to me after the show that's it's more like a "living room" gig when Robben's with the Ford Band, as both he and Andy sauntered on stage with a pint of the local in their hands and continued to enjoy a sip or two between tunes. In fact, Andy left the stage during one tune to refill at the bar! Arrangements on the fly, lots of pointing and nodding, and everybody having a great time.

He played through a Two Rock, as did Volker. I got out on the dance floor quite a bit to get an up close and personal view...man, that amp is loud! You couldn't tell he was under the weather by his demeanor...he enjoyed himself.
