I took guitar lessons years ago. We worked through one of the Robben Ford books at the time. I've been looking for one of the other books we used, a jazz tuition book, but I can't remember the name of it or who wrote it.

I remember my teacher at the time telling me it was the book Robben Ford referred to as his bible or words to that effect. Anyway does anyone know which books Robben Ford recommends for blues players or where I can find a recommended reading list?

I can give a quote from the book I'm looking for if it helps, this is from page 4:

"PART ONE

LESSON 1

First we shall work with chords. Chords are very important to a jazz musician. The old style of strumming chords for guitar will never do in modern playing, so we will have to work out a complete system. With this style of chords you will learn to play chord solos, make all kinds of introductions, play background for horn players, and all kinds of tricky fill-ins." . . .
