Robben Ford Discussion

I have a friend who'll be at Robben's show at the Baked Potato in L.A. later this week. Per the venue's site, sidemen will be Toss Panos and Jonathon Button. Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm not familiar with Button. Can anyone fill me in on him?

Jon Button has been the young bass player with Sheryl Crow regularly.

He's toured briefly with Robben before... about a year or two ago.

Thanks, Daved. I'm sorry I can't be down there (but at least I got to the show at Mondavi Hall in Davis), but I'll see if I can get a report from the friends who are going.

So is that the lineup slated to record the two nights next week at the Independent in San Francisco?

My understanding is that it will be Robben, Travis and Toss, with a B3 player.

The opening act is a group called the Big Organ Trio with Mike Mangan on B3 - is that who's going to be playing with Robben's trio?
