Here is my attempt at some Robben Tone using the following:
Collings City Limits
Fuchs ODS bassman mod
Glaswerks 1x2xl with Celestion G12-65
TC Electronic G Sharp in the Loop

Hi Pinner,

I really like that tone. It has that special thing I associate with D-style amps:
it is like a pre-tone as if you slide into the note.

I wonder how much tone comes from the guitar. Seems to me it is a formidable match!

And last but not least, I really liked your chops. I watched/listened to your Chitlins con carne at least 25 times. Really dig the timing and note choice. I myself still struggle with scales and modes. It is obvious you are past that.

PS I myself was also drawn to the D-style amp and built a BrownNote D'Lite.
There were some mods I planned to do, but all I do is play, play, play. Such a joy.

Thanks a lot! The Collings definitely a great guitar but the amp is fantastic as well. I had some mods done to it recently and really improved it.
I would love to learn to build an amp. I'm slowly trying to learn what makes up these works of art and perhaps one day. Thanks again!
