When they first came out I was really excited. I thought that would be the guitar for me. Anyway, I didn't like the neck and moved on. I still think they're a beautiful instrument and sound good, but......
I never saw Robben play this guitar, but it was during the transition time from leaving Fender and his signature guitar with them and going to Baker. I doubt he still has the guitar. I assume Gibson was just making an effort to try and recruit him during that time period.

Yes, the 336 was returned. Robben didn't really see a personal need to keep it, tho he thought it was a fine guitar and he enjoyed playing with it, as he still has a 335. Speaking of which... we discussed on our flight back from Denver this morning the possibilities of maybe bringing it, for added flavor, along with the Baker and the Tele on the first part of our '04 touring along the west coast in January.
Personally, I kinda wished he'd hung onto the 336 and then let ME babysit it for him. I wouldn't have minded having it around, at all.... _________________ B C-ing U!
