We will be recording an in-studio performance for the BBC2 in Manchester on the afternoon of the 19th before Robben goes to his clinic that evening. _________________ B C-ing U!

I don't want to think that Robben does not create albums comparable to the likes of Zeppelin and Hendrix
So, sell some BBC live material for release in the USA, please

Dal, tells me it will be 4 songs. I don't know all the logistics yet, other than a 2 pm loadin at their studio with soundcheck and recording beginning at 4 PM.
I'll try to find out if it is live, or what..... _________________ B C-ing U!

Dal says he does not know if this session will be aired live, but he does not think so. He thinks it more likely will be aired sometime within a few days of the taping.
Maybe you can contact the BBC and find out from them. I'll let you know if I hear anything more substantial.
As for the clinic, I usually do not have that info. I'll see what I can find out. _________________ B C-ing U!

I have ordered my tickets from The Academy of Sound in Manchester. This is where it is. Tickets aren;t printed yet but I have put my name down. There are 80 places so I am told at £10 each. Iys on November 19th. Good value to be able to see Robben in this type of setting. Hope this helps

Thanx for the info Gemini. I asked Dal and he said he didn't have any of the information on the clinic. That was all being advertised and handled by the promoter, so I'm glad you could give some insight. _________________ B C-ing U!

Hi Daved,
firstly, great to see you out in the open again, sharing your inside knowledge and kindly spending your time answering questions from all here :-). Its much appreciated!
Can you shed any more light on the BBC recording session? Is it a tv broadcast (hopefully "Later with Jools Holland"), but of course anything will do?
Look forward to saying hello at the Jazz Cafe,
Cheer's,

DD,
I am just starting to get fed some info on the BBC date. I believe it may be a radio broadcast, possibly something to do with Paul Jones's show (I know he is a huge fan of Robben's).
I'll let you know when I hear more about it. _________________ B C-ing U!

If it is the Paul Jones show it's on BBC Radio 2. The show goes out on Thursday evenings at 8:00pm. And, I'm not sure, but I think you can listen to this over on Net too ... _________________ "Creativeness often consists of merely turning up what is already there.
