I have just seen that the first New Morning concert ("The Paris Concert") is about to be released on BluRay for those interested (I know I am ).
They are also releasing the No Substitutions concert with Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton (no Robben here), and a John Scofield concert as well.
I guess I'll get them all... |

Just for information : I got the Bluray a few days ago, it's a nice improvement over the DVD in terms of image and sound. I hope that the latest Paris concert will be released in this format as well. |

I have the newest DVD, Robben Ford Trio at the New Morning, and I think it's a great concert recording. Robben with Travis Carlton and Toss Panos. I don't own a BlueRay player, so I don't know the difference in terms of image and sound, but the DVD that's available now sounds just fine. I ordered it on Amazon UK and it arrived in 5 days. _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

The latest DVD is indeed quite good, with a nice 5.1 mix as well.
Bluray is a plus in terms of image and sound quality, but in the ends that's the music that matters.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I found the info about the upcoming Blu-ray release, but I couldn't find the standard DVD version. |

I got mine (Dolby Digital 5.1 format) from Amazon U.K., but now it can be ordered on Robben's web site as well. _________________ Travelling by train of thought |
