I went to the Wanee festival in Live Oak, FL., over the weekend. There was so much music, it was impossible to see it all, but I did get to see many of my favorite bands play. Click on Taj to see my photos from Wanee.

Thanks Jim, it was fun! I saw Daved working on the sidestage (behind a mountain of speakers) before The Allman Brothers Band played. The sound for most every performance was excellent. As you can see from the pictures, I got to the field early both mornings to snag a great piece of earth. The crowds got really big, but there was very little trouble.

Many of the bands had new members and performed a lot of soon-to-be-released music. The Tedeschi Trucks Band had a new horn section that blew the leaves off the trees they were so good! I've seen Susan and Derek several times, and this new band has the best sound. They were full of energy; it was a beautiful show.

Robert Plant and Band of Joy were also outstanding. Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller and Darrell Scott make great music together. I've been listening to their cd since it was first released and I love their music.

Widespread Panic, Hot Tuna, Warren Haynes Band, North Star Mississippi Allstars, Bobby Lee Rodgers, and The Allman Brothers Band were my other favorite sets of the weekend.

It was a great festival. I'm already looking forward to going again next year!
