The other day I was poking around the Yoshi's (Oakland, CA) calendar and found three days in November that had been scheduled for An evening with MICHAEL McDONALD & ROBBEN FORD. But the word "CANCELLED" was plastered over the top of each calendar entry; the details page said "Cancelled due to scheduling conflict."
Meanwhile today when Robben's new Guitar Dojo site was unveiled, I went and looked at his "From the Road" blog, in in an entry dated last month he spoke about recording sessions for this project and said, "We'll be playing in Seattle in Oct. at the Triple Door, and Yoshi's, Oakland in November. Come out and see us."
No dates for them on the Triple Door calendar for October so far...
I'm hoping that this is only a temporary situation and they will indeed play some shows soon, if not a full-blown tour...
