Robben Ford Discussion

Hello!

Robben appears in france for 2 days in april 2013 (Paris and Cleon). Does someone know if it's Renegade creation or Another formation? It's not mentionned in the website.

I suspect he is touring to support his new album Bringing It Back Home. They just played in NYC this week and the instrumentation was consistent with what's on the new album (guitar, organ, trombone, upright bass and drums). Not sure if it's all the same musicians as on the CD.

I'll try to attend one of the French gigs, too bad there are only 2 dates to choose from.

Yes I think it may be for his new album too but, on cleon's website (la traverse), line-up is the renegade one...so...

labels a bunch of his dates with [Robben Ford] and others without any such indication. So maybe those are Renegade Creation dates? Confusing - on Robben's own site you would think the default (no label) would be dates under his own billing and then other dates would be labeled with some sort of note, e.g. [Renegade Creation] or [Miles Smiles]... Whoever thought of listing the tour dates like that must be a bit lacking in common sense...

I agree, it will certainly be phenomenal with such musicians like that, but(!), I like renegade less that Robben ford's own shows... If I have to make 400 kms, i'd rather see what i really like! (I don't want to upset anyone!!)
