The gig last night was utterly fantastic - possibly the best I've ever seen him - and the band he's put together for this tour is, without doubt, the best line-up I've ever seen him play with ...and that includes the shows I saw him do with Larry Carlton.
The leading outstanding contributor in this endevour was definitely upright electric bass player, Brian Allen, whose extraordinary ability was visibly matched by his enthusiasm. He really got into what he was playing and grinned like a loon for most of the show.
