Hi
I'm a new member here. I first heard Robben (not knowing it was him) playing on Joni Mitchell's In France They Kiss On Main Street. As a callow youth it completely blew me away and still does.
Then some years later I was fortunate enough to become aware of a tremendous young American musician called AJ Croce. I bought his wonderful debut album, perused the liner notes and saw Robben was responsible for much of the stellar guitar work on there.
After many years I've become proficient enough to transcribe songs now - not solos, but guitar chord arrangements with some very limited tab for riffs etc. - the point being that guys like Robben are so inspiring to the likes of me, and it's great to be able to voice this on this Forum!
Best wishes

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing that Robben story with us. I wasn't aware that Robben played on A.J.'s debut album. I'll have to add that one to the list. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Yes, welcome Kevin!
Funny you mentioned the AJ Croce cd, as I recently thought of compiling all my favorite tunes in which RF sat in on other artists cds.
Last week I pulled out my Ford Blues Band 1999, where RF plays and sings 'Day Dreaming'.
Today, in my truck, I have a Herbie Mann cd (sorry, forgot the name), where RF plays on a sweet arrangement of 'Baby Coming Home'.
There's a ton of these 'one offs' out there, and I tend to neglect them. Maybe I'll compile a cd of them someday.
