I wanted to delay posting this until I got my tickets, as I feared a sellout. Well, I snoozed and I loosed.
I need 1 ticket (Chico gig) and will pay up to double. PM me if you have a spare.
Robben is reuniting with his bothers Patrick and Mark, and the other cast of the Ford Brothers band for 2 gigs in NoCal next month.
August 14 at the SierraNevada brewery in Chico
August 17 at a concert in the park in Ukiah.
Last week I went to buy tickets to the Chico gig, but they are sold out. I live in central California and had planned on renting a car, throwing in my bike, and heading up north for these gigs, and catch a bit of beautiful scenery in between. I've seen Robben with his brothers twice before (total 4 gigs), and I find these quite refreshing. Robben usually plays something current from his newer stuff, but they will also play some of the older stuff from the Charles Ford Band days and in between. Volker Strifler adds some great guitar work and sings the blues. A special treat is the return of Mark on harp and vocals. He doesn't always join these reunions. The shows are loose, fun, and high quality. IF YOU CAN HELP OUT WITH A TICKET, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
