Hi all,

just thought I would drop you all a line to let you know Robben is interviewed/style filed, in the latest 'Guitarist' mag (Oct '16 issue# 412).

It's a great piece, mainly covering his recent collaboration with the super group 'The Supersonic Blues Machine'. For me its kind of an unusual, but excellent grouping of great contemporary blues guitarists led by Billy Gibbons. I won't spoil it for you, check it out. This would be a must see line up if they tour too! You have to get the mag just to see the cheeky 'mug shots' of the guitarists. Looks like they had fun!

On another note, and in the same mag, I was very pleasantly surprised to see a review of an excellent guitar (I know this because I have seen the actual guitar reviewed in the flesh!. I came across this guitar, and many superb others, just by chance when visiting what I thought was a local guitar shop in Peterborough in the UK. Instead I was greeted by a really enthusiastic, genuine nice bloke called Adrian Hardman, shop keeper and guitar luthier extraordinaire of the guitar and company 'Vanquish' guitars. I was blown away of the quality of his guitars, particularly the attention to detail (the neck and fret work is some of the best I have seen). He even has bespoke parts made, a lovely recessed bridge, and other great components all customisable in a custom shop type ordering process. We spoke for some time on the subject of guitarists, the music industry, and the concept of custom shop guitars offered by all (including Vanquish). I won't say anymore as this would sound like a unashamedly obvious plug (which it isn't), but I felt compelled to bring it to all the guitarists attention on this board. If you are thinking of shelling out your hard earn't cash on a top notch guitar, do yourself a favour and check these beauties out. I want one!!!

Oh and if you ever get to read this Ade, thanks for your precious time you gave me that day, and well done with the review!

Enjoy the mag.

All the best,

DD
