Question

Yes, I'm here. I have a Sakashta guitar made from the same piece of mahogany that Robben's guitars were made from. It is an amazing guitar, unbelievably well built (completely hand made) and the sound is stunning. If you play the low E string it almost sounds like a grand piano. Mine is an exact copy of Robben's, with the same neck only with 6100 frets (I think Robben went with 6105's on his). I originally got it with Duncan Antiquity pickups but I recently changed to the 'standard' 59/JB setup. It is without a doubt the most amazing guitar I have ever played/owned. And yes, I still have my kidneys!

All that being said, however, these days I mainly play my Baker RF guitar, partly because it's so light (easy on the old back), and partly because the neck on that guitar just seems to fit me like a glove. I just wish it sounded like the Sakashta!

Bill

PS: There are a few pics of the Sakashta on my website -
