I'm sitting at my desk in Vancouver and know that all the lucky folks in Seattle are getting ready to go see Robben tonight. I took time off work last year to go see him but couldn't swing it this year. I've fallen off the wagon lately as far as practicing goes and could really use a hit of Robben's awesome music to inspire me but, alas, it is not to be. Look forward to hearing about tonight's and tomorrow night's shows. |

Casey,
At least you are closer than I am as I am now in San Antonio Texas. I just e-mailed a buddy I used to work with when I lived in Seattle and told him he was a "chump" if he did not try and make tonites gig. Hopefully Robben will head down to the great state of Texas sometime in the near future.

Oklahoma City close enough? Its on a holiday Presidents day. Robben is doing a clinic on the Sunday before the show. Got a couple good seats held back for the faithful.

Oklahoma City is still about a 7 hour trip of hard driving. I think he will have to get closer for me to make it. Thanks for the thoughts just the same. Enjoy the show, I am sure you will.

Hi Casey,
I went to the show on Wednesday night at the Triple Door in Seattle. This is the second time I've seen Robben and once again he was awsome!
I do have one complaint, and I'm not sure if Robben was to blame or maybe the club told him how long to play. The club is fairly small, (~250) people and instead of having two shows like the last time I saw him at Jazz Alley, they only had one show and the tickets were $35. At first I was pretty stoked as I figured this would mean he would play a fairly long set. Instead he only played for about 1 hour and 15 minutes which seemed pretty short to me.
Oh well, for what there was, it was fantastic!
