Hi Daved,
I was hoping you knew what pickups were in Robben's '57 reissue with the cherry finish. I'm blown away by the tone. Maybe there's some of Robben's mojo in it, too. That is a fine sounding guitar. Thank you for any help you can give me.

In an earlier post, Daved said they were Burstbuckers #2 and #3 and had been modified to 4 leads for coil splitting. The guitar was only id'ed as a late 90's LP, so I hope it's the same one. Also Robben may have changed them by now, but there's a start for you. I hope that helps.

As you stated, Frank, I think that's the same guitar Larry speaks of. And, as far as I know, we tried a couple of different p/u configurations, but the Burstbuckers were what finally ended up being the permanents. _________________ B C-ing U!
