Hi folks,
A quick note to let you know that in the March issue of GP, Robben has started a one page lesson column. This seems to be a monthly column. This one is for "beginners", but it's a neat little piece on penatonic scales. GP really went through a modernization with this issue. They have brought in many guest lessons like those seen on some other mags. Steve Morse and Robben back to back just was cool.

Got my copy yesterday in the mail.Wow, they really revamped the mag. It's hard to tell if Robben's column will be a regular one or if they will swap out various 'Blues Gurus' each month.
Cheers,
Johnny

I just got my issue yesterday and had to run out to a rehearsal before I could read it. That's really great news. We should email Michael Molenda and let him know how much we like that feature!

Hi

This is the first time I've bought 'Guitar Player' !!

Only problem I have, Judging from the regular readers votes for their top 50 guitarists !! The Magazine & its regular readers just don't deserve Robben or his Column !!!

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Cool Robben's lesson may be labeled "Beginner," but even the most experienced player can always profit by going back to the basics once in a while, especially when the basics are interpreted by a master teacher.

Glad I picked up the March GP. While I don't subscribe, I did participate in the e-mail Readers Poll. While the poll results have a few strange twists, they sure beat the Rolling Stone Top 100 of a few months ago. That Robben isn't listed in the "One-Vote Wonders" box means that at least one person in addition to me put him in their top 10. A whole lot of people must have agreed with my assessment that Derek Trucks was the "Young Gun," and at least a few agreed with me that Les Paul is THE "Living Legend." (Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton?? But they're both so YOUNG, still. Let's see how they're doing when they're Paul's age.)
