Very Happy , hey looking at the M.I-YellowJackets link posted by Marin brang back memories (14years Exclamation ). So in May 90 , we ad the chance to have a R.Ford Master class : the artist play a show with a "teachers" rythm section, no rehearsal, Gary Willis on bass & Casey Schurell on drums. After he answers all questions.
I do remember Robben saying the guitar he was using (ultra or RF model)was stock from factory or a shop and was not one of his beloved one (prototype) but may be it was a fine way to speak about these models.....
And he was playing this huge mesa Boogie ( hey i played on this amp Very Happy )
which is on the main stage along with a maschall stack .

So basically Robben with a stock Ultra & a Mesa stack sounds basically like Robben with a "trick" and a "tail".
I remember it was a warm afternoon in L.A , we had to play a Jazz workshop but noone showed up (not even us, all the bands) after the master class we hurried to this workshop (we were not so late ) just to cross the instructor in total nervous breakdown calling us names...........
Shocked i remember too, Robben lowering dynamic in a slow blues not seeming quite happy then finally asking the drummer in a loud voice "just keep quarter notes " ......... Wink
