OK,I've done a little posting in the last two days(I joined so I could do so).
I was just trying to make sure Robben would be in Chicago on Saturday Feb 21 04.All the talk got me going.I'm a Ford freak like all of you.A player for many years.Started with Johnny Cash and Neil Daimond when I was a kid(yeah, I know there is no connection between the two guys).I used to dress in black and tell the girl down the street I was writing songs about trains.I believe she became a lesbian.I like Jazz,Rock,Blues,R&B and am a fanatic for Bossa Nova and Brazilian guitarists like Joao Gilberto,Luiz Bonfa,Baden Powell and Toninho Horta. One of my favorite Brazilian composers is Edu Lobo who is a deceptivly crafty guitarist. If you love music and don't know how you would live without it,seek out Edu Lobo, but beware,it can get expensive if you get addicted though some of his best stuff was just issued on cd.Cantiga de Longe is great and features the great Hermeto Pascoal and Sergio Mendes Presents Edu Lobo is on A&M and available at most stores.Go to www.dustygroove.com.
Anyway,It's nice to be in the company all you Ford people.Dan

Hi. Welcome aboard. I haven't heard of any of those musicians and will have to check them out. I love Robben Ford, of course, and James Taylor, Ottmar Liebert, Norah Jones, old jazz and new jazz (as long as it's not that progressive stuff). I've been following Robben around since he played in a dive in Cupertino, California in 1976. I'm still going to see him whenever he comes to the Bay Area and he just keeps getting better!
