Originally posted by LordRiffenstein Man oh man, what a killer player, what an amazing tone and what a nice guy. We went to see Scott playing with his blues trio in a small club here in Belgium. The club wasn't packed but you could tell those who were there REALLY know what's good ;)
They played 2 sets with a small break and went from heavy bluesrock to spacey jazzy stuff. They started with Dog Party and played plenty of stuff from his latest album as well as his other blues stuff. The drummer, who also does the singing, is AN ANIMAL. What a guy!! John Humphrey on bass was just solid as a rock, grooving and all and played some VERY cool solos as well. The gig was totally inspiring and seeing Scott right in front of me was an awesome experience. I got to meet him during the break and had a short talk with him, very nice guy as was obvious on stage as well. He played his usual white Suhr strat into a small rack with pedals/vibe/Boss multi-fx and used his CAA OD-100 thru the CAA 4x12. If not THE best, it was definitely one of the best tones I heard EVER!!
