My friend Andy Aledort is in my opinion one of the best unknown guitar players around. He's not that unknown though since he's editor for Guitar World magazine, a monster transcriber who has transcibed all of the ( Hal Leonard) Jimi Hendrix books, Zappa books, The Dregs....., literally hundreds of books including several instructional DVDs. He also played with the Band of Gypsies band (Billy Cox and Buddy miles) filling the shoes of Jimi - not a small feat. There's a video of the 3 of them playing on the official Hendrix website, in the studio with Eddie Kramer engineering.
He also sits in with Dickie Betts as well as the Allman Brothers whenever they're in town.
He's a killer player .....
Check out his site and CD at www.andyaledort.com
his CD is great!

LongIslandRod--
Thanks so much for the kind words. I am trying, brother!! I just played with Dickey Betts saturday night in Ridgefield CT and it was really great. And I just finished a three-date west coast tour with Double Trouble, Billy Cox, Mitch Mitchell, Paul Rodgers, Jerry Cantrell, Carlos Santana, Joe Satriani and others. We had a blast. If anyone would like they can email me at: aaledort@ix.netcom.com. |

Welcome Andy, so you were to the Hendrix Tribute , woooooow, i am a terminal Hendrix fan.... And i really enjoyed your work for scoring Jimi.
By the way , i am still very disapointed the best lines from Bleeding Heart,C#blues, were missing in the middle of the guitar solo????
May be it was on purpose .

I'm not sure what you mean--are you talking about a transcription of "Bleeding heart?" If so, i don't think it's one that I did. The Hendrix Tribute shows were killer--I'll give a more in-depth review later... |

Nice stuff Andy! Nice to have you here
Btw, did you ever hear my good friend Barry Richman play The Stumble? It was one of his regular pieces. He is another not so well known blues monster!
Regards,
