Just got some disturbing news that Olaf Nobis (Banzai) is out of buisiness. I spoke with the dutch distributor and Olaf has vanished from earth because there is no response on mails and telephone calls for several weeks now. Our distributor has stopped advertising for Banzai
I hope Olaf will be back, but this doesn't look good. As soon as I know more I let you all know. I keep my fingers crossed............... _________________ "Don't play what's there, play what's not there" Miles Davis |

I suspected that buying one was an investment. ;)

Olaf says that he is still making pedals and shipping worldwide. I just ordered one from Bass Exchange. They are expecting some in soon. |

marinblues,
What settings do you use on your FB2. I had one a while ago, but sold it to get other pedals. I can't wait to get another one. |

Inside: I keep the switches on the "FD2" setting and leaves the treble and mid knobs where they were.
Outside: I'll play around but typically I'll leave the volume at 12 oclock, the Tone varies depending on guitar and the distortion and boost somewhere around 10 oclock. I like the medium compression setting.
In the end I mix it with a bit of gain of my amp and it sounds like this:

Your clips sound great! What guitar, amp, and effects are you using besides the FB2. I need to go practice more. |

First clip is made with a italian hand-made Jacaranda:
It's like a LP but chambered and with a thicker maple top and ebony fretboard.
The second one is with a Tokai 335 copy:
And the amp is an Engl Screamer 50
thanks

Hey Marin,
I really liked the ballad. Great use of dynamics and economical, emotive phrasing. You had to resist the temptation to overplay it, didn't you? Very, very nicely done. Bravo, ragazzo! Next to when Robben plays it, that's the best I've heard that pedal sound. |

Man that ballad is so sweet! I always loved your tone and feel, you've put it all together here with great restraint. You can tell that something wonderful is about to happen any minute. Then you tease us before taking it to the top on the way out. Awesome. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

Thank youy, thank you very much. Grazie! After reading this I put a new 9v battery into the Banzai and played with this kind of sound for half an hour!
