Hi Daved,
When I saw Jing Chi in Santa Cruz, I thought the best tone he got that night was when he played the flame maple Baker Crucible. I normally go for his Tele tones, BTW.
Anyhow, with the next Jing Chi tour coming up (BTW, is the next CD in the can???), I wonder what Robben may bring. Crucible? Maybe a great Les Paul? I'd love to catch him playing a Les Paul.
You know, it just seems like he could use a Mahogany Maple LP style axe to round out the arsenal. Any updates on what he'll take on the Jing Chi tour?

Word is, Robben just found a Les Paul that he likes and may use it on the Japanese Jing Chi tour.
If his shoulder survives, maybe we'll see it Stateside
Daved says that the '54 suffers from shielding problems but the couple of times I've seen Robben take it out, he gives it back within a couple of songs unlike the black Baker which he'll even play Tele tunes with. I also note that except for the southwestern artwork hanging off the black Baker, Robben tends to use skinny traditional straps. All the harder to deal with an LP _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
