I guess the number would be 1 (or close to it) and Bakerguitars is out of business so your best bet is Ebay.

Hey there, Gene Baker reporting in for duty and just stopping by to say hello, this is my first post here. I don’t get onto forums all that often but Dave sent me a heads up that there where a lot of questions popping up on Robben's fiddle.
The current model you’re seeing him play is the last revision of the Robben Ford Signature model shortly before we closed doors at the shop. It’s a Mahogany chambered body with a spruce top; maple neck with ebony fretboard, Seymour 59 bridge pup with a Pearly Gates in the neck, is the main ingredients for the recipe. The earlier Alder body spruce top version hosted a JB in the bridge and a 59 in the neck to balance the lack of bass end produced by the Alder. The Mahogany version added a thicker bottom and we tamed down the bridge pickup to open the high end up for articulation.
Robben and I met up for a Seymour factory trip about 6 months ago and through a collaboration of minds and ears, Robben and Seymour trading a bunch of rhythm’s and solos, I moneyed on the bench with the help of Kellie at Seymour (doing some shell shopping) and kept swapping pickups until we got what Robben was looking for.
I am in the early stages of getting Gene Baker Guitars up and rolling and will keep everyone updated through my personal website www.meangene.org and www.bakerguitars.com will be back up soon still hosted by myself. All serial number info is posted on my personal site sorted by year and by serial #, for all guitars we built and for those interested.

Good Evening,
If I may ask a question. I thought that Gene Baker was going to work for Ernie Ball? Why is he coming out with "Gene Baker" guitars when he just sold "Baker" guitars to Ed Roman? Did I miss something?
On a side note, I've been in Ed Roman's place in Vegas a couple of times. Cool store, but I can't beleive it. I've never been treated worse in a guitar store. His staff was dismissive and rude. I'd have a hard time buying a guitar from the guy. _________________ T. J. Moore |

If you think the staff is rude and arrogant, wait till you get to talk to the Big Boy himself...
Oh, and Gene.. seen any good wood lately ?? |

Hello All
This is my first post over here; I found the link to this thread on the Gear Page (gearpage.net).
TJ - as I understand it, Gene Baker didn't just "sell 'Baker Guitars' to Ed Roman"; the company went into bankruptcy in late May or early June of last year. At that point, while this was in the courts, Gene went to work for Ernie Ball. In October, the assets of "Baker Guitars" were sold at auction; Ed Roman outbid Gene & Sterling Ball for the name.
Evidently, Gene has decided to leave Ernie Ball and strike out on his own again under the name "Gene Baker Guitars".
All I know is I would love to get my hands on any of the Bakers produced before Gene closed the shop, particularly the RF model (based on design, not endorsement).
