So, who's going to the May 22nd clinic?
(And KFOG would have to schedule KaBoom on the same day
If only it were possible to fly in and out of Ojai.) _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

So, how are we going to pick each other out of the crowd? Carnation in the headstock?
See you all there. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

I'm going to the August clinic, and I've been wondering if it would be worthwhile bringing a notebook. But then I think back to my school daze remembering that the less notes I took, the more I paid attention...
What's the opinion of those who've gone to a RF clinic?
Thanks,

If you have a portable mini disc recorder, you might want to bring that. There's a ton of info flying and trying to write it all down could be distracting. Referring back to the audio recording can help a lot.
I'll be the bald guy with a ponytail playing a Hamer Artist Custom. A friend and I are driving up from San Diego early in the morning. _________________ Ham Fisted Bloozer |

If you can get a small recorder then that really is the way to go. The first clinic I went to I brought a note pad but ended up not using it. Fortunately, I also taped the whole day. Having the tape (which I converted and burned to disc) and being able to listen to it over and over is the way to go.
In addition to being the tall, goofy looking guy, I'll have my RF signature guitar with me tomorrow.

I'm going to try and see how my Archos recorder works out. But I'll have a small cassette as a back up. I agree, stop and write notes down and you miss something else. I do keep some blank chord charts with me to quickly scribble down chord inversions or scale patterns
I'll be another tall folliclely challenged individual with a sunburst 335. I learned at the last one that with a room full of guitars, the folks with solid bodies couldn't hear themselves. A few clever individuals even brought flat tops. I thought about bringing my archtop, but then someone would expect one to be able to play jazz _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
