Oh thank you...you're the best. I'll let you know about Chris Cain's attire on Sunday night. I have even got the man I am going with intrigued with the shoe thing!!! He is already speculating what footwear will be for Robben at the Russian River!
love, elizabeth

Hi guys,
the lineup was Jimmy Haslip, Will Kennedy, Russ Ferrante and Robben Ford. Robben was very elegant I must say and I loved when he was wearing those tiny reading glasses while placing a big five pages chart on a double music stand with some cool standlights on top. I'm no guitar player sorry so I can't be so precise with what gear he used. He alternated two guitars, a Gibson (orange golden) and a Fender (white/cream)..considering the scratches on them these must have been the mighty instruments he used all times.
The audience laughed itself away when Jimmy spoke at mike saying that the next song was called "Statue of Liberty" and was written by Russ. At that point Robben put his glasses on and said: "hard!..." then looking at Russ from the top of his glasses.
Robben was wearing a pair of elegant black shoes ;-)
Very cool,

a good , excellent experience, a great guy !
the clinic was a wonderful example by Rob of how to relate with music in first place. a lesson of spontaneous creativity by a great talent, and ....personally i'm so so satisfied by his words to answer my questions about Miles Davis. Great memories guys, many laughs, big time.
I'll never forget these 6 (i can remember everything he said) episodes he told us about the gigs with Miles. I'm a jazz guy you know, but friends ..Robben Ford is Robben Ford... |
