This clip has NO ROBBEN SOUND WHAT SO EVER Laughing .

I dailed in this cool Texas style blues sound with the V-stack Classic through a Tweed Deluxe style amp (amp is on low volume clean setting) that sounds a bit like SRV's strat sound but more aggresive. So i had a backing with Revelation (Thanks Kirk95) and went for it.. Embarassed . There are quite a few mistakes but i think it's a COOL SOUND. Hope you like it.

Guitar is Chapin Hawk, neck PU split for Strat sound.

V-Stack Revelation

Really cool. It isn't as far from Sweden to Texas as I thought. Great idea breaking the head up into different octaves. You can really hear the sound of the Strat cutting through, expecially on the low strings. Care to share you miking technique?

Well the making technique is as simple as my guitar technique Wink .
I recorded direct into KORG PXR4 using it's internal mic. The PXR was placed on some wrapping stuff that was in my Chapin case, the pxr was around one meter from the amp on the floor, as was the amp. The reverb is added in the mix, done on the PXR.

The guitar is actually more Tele than strat, it's an Chapin Hawk. Ash body with thing maple top, maple neck and blacwood board. The neck PU is a beezel bucker. It looks like a Humbucker but is more like two SC's. One stratish and on P90 sounding coil. So the PU can be series, pararell, P90 coil or strat coil. This is the Strat coil.

Now, this was recorded in a OLD cottage and the wood in walls and floor is more than 150years old...any good sound is due to the vintage enviroment Wink

Thank for listning Smile
