I just happened to stumble across this site:
http://www.canariasjazz.com/index2.html
Robben photos from the Canary Island gig!
(and - by the way - minus five days to the Spilimbergo gig in Italy -
needless to say, photos and review will be posted)

Hi Suzie,
I visited the link you mentioned, but I couldn't find any picture of Robben.
Or is it only Robben his shoe?

Hi Henk , waz up ? Same for me but if you just take Canarijazz.com you access the site then scroll over the menu and you'll find pics.
This is a page where all the dates are listed , then you click on the date and pic will appear.
Robben is killer on one .

Thanks Blob for you help. Really nice picture. Especially on the last one Robben is really shouting at the waves. According the pictures no Robben and the Yellow Jackets rendez vous.

oops.. sorry..
you're supposed to click on "Festival a Diario" on the left.
That will take you to a calendar. If you click on 16 julio Gran Canaria
you'll get some really good pictures.
They've added 15 julio in Tenerife which has some
mediocre shots
(I think these are the dates - otherwise just click around and you'll
find 'em).
... ah... minus four... |

A great time was had by all in Spain (other then the fact that the airlines lost my workbox, including my brand new, never been used, Peterson StroboStomp tuner[!!!!!]... which has kept me pretty much in production turmoil out here. Last seen, it was somewhere in Madrid!).
Larry Carlton came to the show in Tenerife. We tried to get him to set in but he was exhausted by his trip (which we fully appreciated, having made th same trip ourselves the day before) and just wanted to relax and take in the show.
Robben, band, and crew all went to visit with Michael Brecker and take in his show a couple days later when we were in Las Palmas, before leaving for Italy the next morning. _________________ B C-ing U!

Does this mean that whatever energy there was between Robben and Larry has disipated? And that many folks may get to have their favorite fantasy (well maybe second favorite ) of Robben and Larry playing together? _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
