I've been a member for a while but never introduced myself so I thought it was about time.
I've been a Robben fan for a long time. Saw him most recently at the Horshoe Tavern in Toronto last year.
I play in a couple of different bands and own a number of toys. My basic setup is a early 90's PRS bolt on into a Fuchs overdrive supreme (a modified Vibrolux reissue). For pedals I'm really only using a Zim distortion, a Coloursound Wah and a Boss floor tuner (although I have a bunch of others lying around). Other guitars of interest include a 92 Les Paul Standard, 67 SG Special, 68 ES-175, 73 Strat, a Royden custom (check out their website: www.hanktohendrix.on.ca for some very nice custom made guitars) and an 80's japanese tele. I also use a silver face Pro Reverb a lot -- especially in my oldies band, because it doesn't break up too early for me.

Hi Cal,
I drop in on this forum now and again, thought I'd say hi. I noticed you have a Fuch amp -
I was wondering what it is about Fuch amps? I have never seen one in any music shop over here in UK (South East and London) Are they something like the sound of a Dumble and is that why I come across some people that own them on this forum? I'll do some internet research.
I think that the Dumble sound is the intrigue. Fuchs Amps are almost never found for sale, you have to buy them through Andy himself. But I've never seen a Dumble either, so ...
My personal thinking was that I enjoyed the tone a lot of players get and some of these guys, like Robben use the Dumble. I had heard that the Fuchs were supposed to be similar. Maybe, but I think the real thing is in the player and what he does. But the real thing for me was the samples on the Fuchs site. I liked what I heard. So I thought, here's a Dumble-esque amp, nice clean sound, nice overdrive, they do mods on existing amps and I have one. So at the end of the day, I can get a boutique amp for a lot less.
I am very happy with the tone. I think I might change my speaker configuration and go to 4 - 10's, more like a Super Reverb.
