Hello everyone,
I'm hanging out at this cool website for quite a year now and had decided to register. I was a converted RF fan ever since I heard that RF's amazing solos on Yellowjackets's debut album in '83, then came the Blue Line in '93 and I've since collected all of his CD's. Cheers to you all! Laughing

Cool Welcome aboard!

I've only been in Calgary once in my life, but enjoyed that one time. (My wife and I took a train trip across Canada in 1983.)

As I recall, the city's full of cowboys. Hope some blues get through, along with that great Canadian cowboy music. (Ian Tyson immediately comes to mind.)

Yes, he's still doing the rounds, BlueR. That's should be a nice trip crossing the Rockies. Calgary nowadays is booming due the oilsands up North. Yes, they mine the oilsands and extract oil from it. Blues music has gotten through here with blues & roots fest here every year. I was able to watch some guitar greats up here in Alberta, like BB King, Buddy Guy, Elvin Bishop, Jimmie Vaughn, Ike Turner, Greg Koch and even jazz guitarist like Stern, Metheny, Scofield, Martino, Dupree, Malone. This years blues fest featured Johny Lang, Wilson Picket and others. I wish Robben would play up here, so i don't have to go down South just to catch him play. I gave up playing guitar many years ago but then I started to pick it up again upon seeing Mr. Ford play live. In fact, I'm going to the Nov. 13 clinic to seek enlightenment about this affliction.
