For folks in the south bay area, I'm going to be doing an opening set for my favorite local guitarist at JJ's this Friday. It's billed as John Wedemeyer and Friends. The friends are apparently John Lee Saunders on keys and vocals (those great N'orleans vocals on Garth's last record) with Randy Hayes and Steve Evans from Coco Montoya's band (although Randy and John have played together in a power trio for years).
My aggravation goes on at 7:30 and John's kicks in around 9:00.
I've raved about John's playing in this forum before, and I'm honored to be opening for him. For those who haven't heard him play, if you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to see how much range a guitar can cover. I know of no one with this kind of command over a simple electric guitar and a Boogie.

Line up update, Steve Evans couldn't make it up from LA in time so the bass will be Victor Little (Billy Preston, Curtis Salgado...) It's gonna be an F-Bass kind of night. Dwayne O'Neal who's playing with me uses one, and Vic is one of their endorsors.
