Robben Ford Discussion

So who among us will be at Robben's Clinic in Ojai this coming Saturday? How about confessing, and maybe providing some I.D. information so that we can either studiously ignore each other, or make each others' acquaintances and maybe to lunch together somewhere for an un-virtual chat?

E.g., to find me look for:

Shirt: White with retro track & field images (provided I remember)
Pants: Yes
Axe: Black Strat with white pickguard and maple fingerboard
General appearance: 55 yrs. old, balding, glasses, goatee, 6', and look a lot more like Daved and a lot less like Brad Pitt.

Also, while I've put some local music info for the weekend up in another thread, here's something completely different: On Sunday afternoon there's a big polo championship (matches at 1:30 and 3:00) at the 94-year-old Santa Barbara Polo Grounds, located on the mountain side of Highway 101 between Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. The events are open to the public. From what little exposure I've had to both the sport and the Grounds, the crowd is as much fun to watch as the competitors. Also, add to the music Saturday night, Aimee Mann at the Ventura Theatre. (David Byrne is at the Ventura Theatre Monday night, with Sam Phillips on the bill.)

I (Jack DiFranco) will be there. I'm flying in from Rochester (Detroit area) Michigan

I'm not sure what I'll be wearing--it depends on how hot it is. I'm 43 (but I've been told I really look 42); 5' 10"; fairly thin; dark very short hair (what's left of it after having three daughters under the age of 10).

Guitar: I'm bringing my Ibanez Artist hollowbody (like the one Scofield uses).

So far, I don't have any plans for Saturday night. Perhaps a group of us can hook up and go to a club.
