abergdahl,
I want to thank you for posting these clips. I have been curious about some of these amps for years, but it seemed unlikely that I would ever have the opportunity to see or hear a demonstration of them. Now I have, thanks to you. Impossible as it is to quantify, I know the experience has enriched my knowledge and fed my curiosity (though my curiosity is never really satisfied). The fireamp seemed to be the only dud among them (no soul), but the others, especially the Mystics, interest me even more now.
It was ALOT of fun . The video sound quality is not really a great way to capture the sound of these amps. Right now I'm WILD about my Mystic, Ruth, it so responsive and alive. I used the overdrive "channel" for a small par gig this weekend, from country to RF, Lindley to Richards with used picking style and the guitars controls. Even non guitar plyaers gave me compliments on my tone .
The Fire Amp is not soul less, quite the oppsite. But it is much more Tweed/jtm than the Mystics or Skrydstrup so it might appeal to different people. I could be a vary happy player with a good Tele and the Fire Amp, i can get it quite RF sounding with a bit of tweaking the controls, _________________ Clips: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/abergdahlmusic.htm
