I've lurked at this forum for a little while and finally decided to register to respond to a post or two. I play drums and am also a R.B. fan. Very Happy

Kirk, I know the Hilary Jones you're talking about. I've seen her perform with Robben many times. The girl absolutely rocks! I love to watch and listen to her play!

Hi Hilary, I agree with all the statements above. Unfortunally I only had one chance to watch you together with Robben in Europe. That was in 1999 Bochum, Germany. It was one of the best shows I have ever seen in my whole life. With you on drums the band accelerate on a very high level. I can still remember excellent versions of Lovin'cup and Help the poor. So I hope to see you soon again in Europe as a member of the Robben Ford band. Soaring is great too.

hilgirl: Welcome -- and thank you so much for joining us. I hope that your schedule allows you to check in once in a while and share some of your perspective from behind the sticks.

I had never heard you play prior to early this year when I caught you at the very start of the West Coast tour, at SoHo, in Santa Barbara. I was literally blown away by the power of your playing. Later, when I saw the posts about the "Buffy" moniker sticking, I figured out exactly where it came from. If you ever lost your grip and let one of those sticks fly into the audience ... it would go right through some poor fan's heart!

Thanks for your great playing, and for the "oomph" you've added to Robben's shows. Hope you continue to get lots of work playing the music you love with musicians you love to play with.

Saw you for the first time night before last. Was a great show in Grants Pass. I hope you had a good time. I really enjoyed the groove you and Dewayne laid down. I was sitting second row, dead center, bobbing my head, groovn' with you guys through the whole show!

I would love to hear your thoughts, or what kind of experience you had there (from your perspective)...
